Dear Partner,
What we barely understand could be a result of us barely seeking God, in certain areas. Little seeking equals little understanding. A lot of seeking equals a lot of understanding. None of us are perfect and we won’t have absolute understanding of every thing, we are not God, but there are MANY things that our Father would love to shed His light on to illuminate our understanding and seeing, if we SEEK HIM, and seek Him first. It’s already there, we are the ones that have to bring ourselves to HIS WORD by making time for Him. In Psalm 53:2 NKJV it says “God looks down from Heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God.
We can not separate understanding from seeking God. Because if you faithfully continue to seek God, your understanding will INCREASE. And also in that verse it’s telling us that God is looking down from Heaven, gazing across the globe, searching for someone who is seeking Him! Because He knows if we seek Him, we will increase in understanding with the help of the Holy Spirit, our teacher (John 14:26).
As people of God we do not live to seek after promotion. The only “seeking” we do is to seek after God. Love Him, learn Him, spend quality time with Him. Learn His ways, how He’s loving, how He cares for us, how He expects us to treat one another, how He expects us to respond when things are going good, or when we’re under attack of the enemy, and so on. If our attention is on seeking God and getting wisdom, then promotion is inevitable. It WILL come. It WILL happen. It WILL manifest! Because our heart is right, our purpose for seeking God should not be because of “what” He can give us, but because He’s our Father and we long to know what true intimacy is with Him, while on the earth. We do not have to wait until we get to Heaven to find out just how intimate and close we can be with our Father. He’s longing for that type of relationship with His creation………right now.
Don’t seek God for things. But because He’s so good and He is love (1 John 4:8), He’ll BLESS us spiritually, physically and financially! The same BLESSING that was conferred upon Abraham was conferred upon us (See Galatians 3:29). We should be motivated on a daily basis to “GET CLOSER TO GOD.” When that is our mindset, as we focus SO MUCH on getting closer to Him by spending immeasurable time with Him in His WORD, talking to Him and just fellowshipping with Him daily, we’ll be INCREASING in wisdom and understanding at the same time! Sometimes without even realizing it.
Understanding is learning Him, His ways, and then applying His ways into our very own lives. Understanding what to do, what not to do, when to do it, and why. That is only a manifestation of spending much time with Him.
Are you listening?
He’s speaking to us on a daily basis. (Are you reading His WORD daily)? Jesus said in John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” When God speaks to us, we’ll be able to follow up on it in His written WORD, the Holy Bible. This is a basic bible teaching point in hearing and recognizing the voice of God. God will never speak anything to us that is contrary to His WORD. Example, God would never say, “Don’t even try to understand the bible, it’s difficult, people of today don’t even talk that way, etc.” How do we know God would never say anything like that?
Simple! Because in Proverbs 4:5-8 He TELLS US to get wisdom and get understanding of His WORD! Then he sheds light on why we should! Lets look at those scriptures.
Proverbs 4:5-8 NKJV
5 Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.
6 Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you.
7 Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.
8 Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her.
You may ask “Well if God isn’t the one saying that it’ll be hard to even understand the Bible, then who is? The devil?” The answer to that question is Yes!
But that does not mean the devil is in your head. He can not tell you what to think. satan can only tempt you. And thank God we have our answer for overcoming temptation which can be found in James 4:7. Therefore know that satan will try to whisper lies to you. ANYTHING that’s not said of God will always be a lie from the enemy.
2 Timothy 1:7 KJV says
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
You see, God did not give us fear, instead He gave us POWER, LOVE, and self control!
So anytime fear tries to get on you and make you feel as if you won’t be able to understand the Bible anyways so you might as well not even read it—that’s a TRICK from satan to do whatever he can to prevent and stop you from spending quality time with the very one who will help you understand! Fear is an attack on your actions. If you’re afraid, you won’t do it. If you don’t think you’ll be able to even understand, you won’t start. But right now in the name of Jesus Christ the son of God I rebuke that evil spirit of fear off of you RIGHT NOW! Your days of delayed intimacy and growth with the Lord have now come to an end! Your days of GREAT wisdom and understanding starts NOW.
Here are some scriptures that I want to share with you concerning wisdom, understanding, and promotion. Read these scriptures daily.
James 1:5 NKJV
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
James 3:13 TPT
13 If you consider yourself to be wise and one who understands the ways of God, advertise it with a beautiful, fruitful life guided by wisdom’s gentleness. Never brag or boast about what you’ve done and you’ll prove that you’re truly wise.
Proverbs 4:7-8 NKJV
7 Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.
8 Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honor, when you embrace her.
Psalm 75:6-7 KJV
6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, Nor from the south. 7 But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another.
James 4:10 NKJV
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
1 Peter 5:6-7
6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
Proverbs 2:1-12 TPT
1 My child, will you treasure my wisdom? Then, and only then, will you acquire it. And only if you accept my advice and hide it within will you succeed.
2 So train your heart to listen when I speak and open your spirit wide to expand your discernment— then pass it on to your sons and daughters.
3 Yes, cry out for comprehension and intercede for insight.
4 For if you keep seeking it like a man would seek for sterling silver, searching in hidden places for cherished treasure,
5 then you will discover the fear of the Lord and find the true knowledge of God.
6 Wisdom is a gift from a generous God, and every word he speaks is full of revelation and becomes a fountain of understanding within you.
7-8 For the Lord has a hidden storehouse of wisdom made accessible to his godly ones. He becomes your personal bodyguard as you follow his ways, protecting and guarding you as you choose what is right. For the Lord has a hidden storehouse of wisdom made accessible to his godly ones. He becomes your personal bodyguard as you follow his ways, protecting and guarding you as you choose what is right.
9 Then you will discover all that is just, proper, and fair, and be empowered to make the right decisions as you walk into your destiny.
10 When wisdom wins your heart and revelation breaks in, true pleasure enters your soul.
11 If you choose to follow good counsel, divine design will watch over you and understanding will protect you from making poor choices.
12 It will rescue you from evil in disguise and from those who speak duplicities.
One of my favorite Bible stories is Daniel and the lions den! Daniel was wise enough to understand the importance of continuing His fellowship with the Lord, and the results were protection and promotion! I exhort you, to read and study Daniel Chapter 6, often.
Please know that I am praying for you daily!
